Shengyi S1150G occupies the sweet spot between standard FR-4 and high-Tg specialty laminates. For the vast majority of consumer electronics, IoT devices, and automotive control modules operating below 2 GHz, it delivers everything you need without the cost premium of high-performance materials.

The halogen-free formulation eliminates bromine and chlorine-based flame retardants entirely. This matters beyond regulatory compliance: halogen-free resins produce less corrosive residue during reflow, reducing the risk of electrochemical migration failures over the product lifetime. Combined with the anti-CAF (Conductive Anodic Filament) capability, S1150G handles the fine-pitch geometries common in modern HDI builds without the CAF failure mode that plagues older FR-4 formulations at tight via-to-trace spacings.

The key differences: 370HR and IT-180A offer 25-30°C higher Tg, making them better suited for high-layer-count server boards or designs requiring 260°C+ reflow with minimal Z-axis expansion.
